Nice to meet you
ABOUT ME
Dr. Cheryl Cleveland-Kannianen holds degrees in Chemistry from both Furman and Cornell Universities and is a retired Regulatory Scientist with a long career in Corporate America. And now as a life long-learner Cheryl recently graduated with a BA in Music from Meredith College in May 2026. Cheryl now resides in Greer, SC.
Her studies at Meredith focused first on learning music theory and then applying it to fresh arrangements and original compositions, under the direction of Dr. Sabrina Clarke. As a flute player, many of her compositions include flute(s), but she has also written for voice and/or piano, as well as harp, violin and handbells.
My ultimate objective is to combine competences from my multiple life experiences with newly honed skills as a musician to enhance civic and sacred music programs via fresh compositions and arrangements for instrumental and choral performance.
